When one or more teeth are missing,

there are various options.

Modern prosthetics today offer considerably more options than just a few years ago. Removable prosthetics are only one of several solutions. Depending on the situation, fixed crowns and bridges or implant-supported restorations may also be an option.
Which treatment is the right one depends on various factors – among them your oral health, the number of missing teeth, your functional needs and your personal expectations.
At Speerdent, we begin with a careful examination and a clear diagnosis. We then discuss the possible treatment options and explain their advantages and disadvantages. This way, you can make a well-informed decision.

You are missing one or more teeth

and you want to know which solution is the right one for you.

The loss of teeth can affect chewing, speaking and personal well-being. Many patients come to us because they find themselves in one of the following situations:
Every starting situation is different. That is why we begin with a careful examination and a personal consultation. Together we discuss the available options and find the solution that suits your needs and your everyday life.
Would you like a clear assessment of your situation?

The right tooth

replacement feels natural.

Good tooth replacement fulfils several tasks at once: it restores chewing function, supports a natural smile and fits harmoniously into your everyday life. Ideally, it feels so natural that you hardly think about it anymore. Which solution is the right one depends on various factors – among them the number of missing teeth, the condition of the remaining teeth, the bone situation as well as your personal needs and habits. At Speerdent, every prosthetic restoration begins with a careful examination and a digital intraoral scan. On this basis, we plan your treatment precisely and individually. The fabrication takes place in close collaboration with our dental laboratory. This way, function, aesthetics and fit can be optimally coordinated with one another. Every tooth replacement is individually crafted – tailored to your oral situation, your expectations and your everyday life.

WHAT SETS

US APART

Close collaboration between practice and dental technology
The planning and fabrication of your tooth replacement takes place in close coordination between dentist and dental technology. Thanks to digital processes, even complex work can be carried out precisely and efficiently. Short distances and direct communication help to ensure that function, aesthetics and fit are optimally coordinated with one another.
Fully digital planning
With a modern intraoral scan and digital planning, we can prepare your restoration precisely – in most cases without conventional impressions. Even before fabrication, the planned result can be visualised digitally and discussed together.
Implantology and tooth replacement from a single source
If your tooth replacement is based on implants, you benefit from the close collaboration between implantology and prosthetics. In the same building you will also find Ihde Dental, the Swiss manufacturer of the implants we use. This enables short distances, direct coordination and seamless care throughout the entire course of treatment.

Three solutions

individually tailored to your situation.

There is no prosthetic solution that is equally suitable for everyone. The choice depends on various factors: the number of missing teeth, the condition of the remaining teeth, the bone situation as well as your personal expectations regarding comfort, function and aesthetics.

Below you will find the three most important types of tooth replacement that we offer in our practice.
Removable prosthetics
Fixed prosthetics are permanently attached to natural teeth or implants and cannot be removed by yourself. They offer high comfort and enable a natural chewing function.
Suitable for: partial or complete toothlessness, when the requirements for a fixed restoration are met.

Dental bridges
A dental bridge replaces one or more missing teeth and is attached to the adjacent teeth. It represents a proven and durable solution when suitable abutment teeth are present.
Suitable for: single or multiple missing teeth with healthy neighbouring teeth.

Which solution is the right one can only be assessed after a clinical examination.

Together we discuss the various options and find the restoration that best suits your situation.

For implant-supported restorations such as full-mouth rehabilitations or overdentures, you will find further information in the Implantology section.

Tooth replacement is not made on an assembly line

but in close collaboration.

Good tooth replacement is more than a technical product. It has to suit your mouth, your face, your function and your personal needs. That is why every restoration is individually planned and crafted.
At Speerdent, dentist and dental technology work closely together. This direct coordination makes it possible to optimally align function, aesthetics and fit with one another and to carry out adjustments efficiently.

The path to your tooth replacement

step by step

Scroll and discover the steps

01
Initial examination and personal consultation

At the beginning, we take the time to get to know your situation precisely. We examine teeth, gums and chewing function, and discuss your medical history as well as your expectations of the treatment.

02
Digital diagnostics
Diagnostics are carried out with a modern intraoral scan and – if necessary – with digital 3D X-ray images. Conventional impressions are no longer necessary in most cases. Planning is done digitally and with high precision.
03
Individual treatment plan
Based on the examination, we explain the treatment options suitable for you. You receive a written treatment plan with the planned steps, the materials used, the timeline and transparent costs.
04
Planning and fabrication
The tooth replacement is individually planned and fabricated in close collaboration with the dental technology. For more extensive restorations, intermediate try-ins or provisional restorations can be useful in order to check function, comfort and aesthetics before the definitive fabrication.
05
Placement of the tooth replacement
The definitive tooth replacement is placed in the practice and carefully checked. In doing so, we check fit, chewing function, aesthetics and wearing comfort, so that the restoration feels as natural as possible.
06
Aftercare and long-term support
Regular check-ups help to maintain the function and longevity of your tooth replacement in the long term. In doing so, we check the restoration, the gums and – in the case of implant-supported tooth replacement – the health of the surrounding structures. This way, we accompany you from the first examination to long-term aftercare with personal and continuous support.

The first step

is a personal consultation.

Are you missing one or more teeth? Or are you no longer satisfied with your current tooth replacement? In a personal examination, we assess your situation and explain the possible treatment options. Together we find the solution that suits your needs, your expectations and your everyday life.
